Le Chatenet,
a magnificent manor house and largest estate in Brantôme,
also known as the “Venice of Périgord”,
is a typical Périgord style stone-built house
founded by Lord de Giry
at the end of the XVIIth century. The initial “G”
still adorns the cobbled stone veranda.
This charming family house was opened
25 years ago by Magdeleine and Philippe Laxton
to welcome “friends” in a cozy surrounding.
Each room has been beautifully decorated with
wall-fabrics and furniture and the garden has a serene
unique charm.
Since 2007, their son William Laxton,
photographer, and daughter-in-law Jane Fong, antique
dealer, invite you to stay at this comfortable place
and share their art of living in a region full of historical
and gastronomic heritage.
Le Chatenet is open from April 1st to October 15th of the year. Private parking, Free Wifi.
For 3 consecutive nights, a discount of 10% is offered on the room’s rate.
